#1105 Beethoven at the Piano

| In these rare, remarkable, elaborate and elegantly designed pieces of metal sculpture as bookends, the incomparable Beethoven is working at his square grand piano with sheet music clearly in view and so detailed that the notes are legible. Produced by the celebrated J.B. Hirsch foundry in 1932, the set is highlighted by the ivorine (celluloid) keyboard which contrasts with the overall finish of so-called "French Bronze," (electroplated gray metal or spelter). Each piece is marked with the foundry logo on the rear. |
